We’ve created a FAQ page to explain our service and how it works. Click on a question to reveal the answer, and if you still need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Our aim is to provide you with the freshest produce we can deliver. That means as soon as it comes to us, we get it to you. We’re not holding on to produce more than we absolutely need to, which means you won’t get something that’s been sitting on the shelf for five days looking sad, and instead, you’ll get your produce as quickly as we do!
Moreover, each box saves you money – it’s packed with freshness, that neither goes off quickly in your fridge, or ends up going to waste because it was left for too long on the supermarket shelves —just vibrant, fresh ingredients ready to inspire your cooking.
Of course, for produce that is designed to be stored (e.g. potatoes, onions and garlic), we may hang onto it for a bit longer.
For our business, our boxes are not only fresher and provide more diversity but also help sustain local farmers and reduce environmental impact.
Supermarket organic produce often faces longer transport and logistics challenges throughout distribution centres, diminishing freshness and increasing the carbon footprint, not to mention sitting on the shelves for longer and being wrapped in plastic.
We got tired of opening organic produce wrapped in so much plastic packaging – which is counter to the values of why we eat organic. Furthermore, opening fruit and regularly finding one of the items wrapped in plastic (that you cannot inspect at the shop) being mouldy or off.
There are also concerns for growers at the farm gate that are squeezed on price. Often, if farmers have larger commercial amounts to sell, they have no viable alternative market than the big supermarket buyers, and therefore they have to accept the price that they offer.
We’ve seen the more recent inquiries (refer here and here) that demonstrate the supermarkets push on both ends – producers with their purchasing power, but also consumers given the lack of available alternatives. We know our region has limited alternatives, and that is why we’ve started this business.
All of the produce we are sourcing from outside of the Bega Valley is certified organic. This means things that cannot be grown or sourced here will be certified organic.
Where we source locally, we understand the challenges and costs in being certified organic, especially when you’re a small producer. That is why when we work with local producers, we ensure they’re following organic and chemical-free processes as much as possible when they supply to us, without formal certification. Our farm too has not yet been certified as organic, but we follow certified organic practices, having been involved in supplying seed garlic to certified producers and having a keen understanding ourselves.
There’s a wealth of information on the benefits of organic food and the drawbacks of conventional farming practices. We’re not here to lecture, but we do want to highlight that stress on the body is cumulative. It comes from many sources – what we eat, physical exertion, emotional and psychological strain, poor sleep, lifestyle habits, and some other external factors. Most of us have experienced how a combination of stress, unhealthy eating, and lack of rest can leave us feeling run-down or even sick. It’s a reminder of how interconnected our choices are and the importance of making healthy eating choices when we can.
We understand that conventional farming often prioritizes uniformity, shelf life, and profitability over taste and nutrition—qualities that have diminished over generations. Think about how your grandparents talk about the flavor of tomatoes they once enjoyed; we’re dedicated to bringing that rich taste back, along with produce packed with higher nutritional value.
Choosing food free from pesticides and herbicides is more than just a healthy choice—it’s a powerful step toward reducing toxins and cumulative stress on your body and providing it with the nourishment it needs to truly thrive. Furthermore, it’s another step in the right direction toward supporting a healthy food system and our planet!
Organic farming requires more manual labour and careful planning to avoid synthetic chemicals. In addition, organic inputs are often more expensive due to limited supply and production costs.
Organic farming isn’t just about avoiding chemicals — it’s about working with nature’s diversity. Organic farms aim to build healthy, living systems, not just produce chemical-free crops. That means growing a range of plants, rotating crops, integrating animals, encouraging pollinators and soil life, and creating resilience through variety. Diversity strengthens the whole ecosystem and it supports soil health, balances nutrients, and makes the farm more adaptable to change.
As more people recognise the importance of supporting healthy, harmonious food systems, organic and chemical-free produce will hopefully become more accessible and affordable.
By choosing organic, you’re supporting regenerative practices that protect our soil, water, and biodiversity. Increasing demand for organic products also encourages larger producers to adapt, helping to mainstream organic principles and reduce chemical exposure for farmers, families, and the environment.

Our Produce Boxes
Our produce boxes are curated to provide a balanced selection of organic and chemical-free essentials, along with seasonal fruit and vegetables. Each box includes a thoughtful mix of popular, everyday ingredients to make weekly meal planning simple and satisfying.
Enjoy staples such as potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, cucumber, zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, avocado, leafy greens, apples, oranges, and bananas — forming the foundation of healthy, home-cooked meals. You’ll also find a rotating selection of seasonal favourites like tomatoes, capsicum, corn, cauliflower, asparagus, mandarins, pears, grapes, melons, pineapple, and berries, adding variety and inspiration to your cooking.
While we embrace the rhythm of the seasons, we also recognise that some staples like bananas, cucumbers, and zucchini remain kitchen essentials year-round. As growers and producers, we understand how climate and location influence availability, but we also know that not everyone has the time or means to grow or preserve their own food that provides balanced nutrition in those cooler periods.
Therefore, maintain a healthy variety, especially through the cooler months when local supply is limited, we source from and support other Australian organic farmers, primarily along the east coast. We always prioritise locally grown, chemical-free produce and, when needed, supplement with certified organic produce from the Sydney Organic Farmers Market. The balance between local and certified organic produce shifts with the seasons, with winter typically leaning more on certified organic farms along the east coast.
In addition to our produce being eco-friendly, Yes! We use recyclable and reusable packaging whenever possible. Many of our containers are compostable, and we welcome customers returning boxes for reuse to further reduce waste. Any plastic that we do accumulate, we are committed to recycling as much as possible.
We carefully inspect all our produce to ensure freshness and quality, always striving to meet our high standards before delivery. While we aim to provide fresh, delicious items, please note that some produce may not meet the conventional, standardized shapes typically required by supermarkets, which often leads to unnecessary waste and subsequently being sent to landfill. Rest assured, even though these fruits and vegetables may not fit the usual mold, they are still fresh and delicious!

We believe that our prices are fair and competitive based on trying to deliver high quality, fresh produce, with more variety and less packaging. We recognise that organic is more expensive, but that is the value that we offer and stand by.
Regenerative farming is an agricultural approach that focuses on restoring and enhancing the health of ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on soil health, biodiversity, and water cycles. It goes beyond sustainable practices by actively regenerating degraded land, improving the natural environment, and building resilience to climate change.
Key principles of regenerative farming include:
1. Improving soil health: This involves increasing soil organic matter, boosting microbial activity, and enhancing nutrient cycling to create fertile, healthy soil.
2. Minimal soil disturbance: Practices such as no-till or low-till farming prevent soil erosion, retain soil structure, and support microbial life.
3. Diverse crop rotation and polycultures: Growing a variety of crops helps break pest and disease cycles, enriches soil fertility, and supports biodiversity.
4. Integrating livestock: Managed grazing of animals, like cattle or sheep, improves soil fertility and enhances grassland ecosystems.
5. Promoting biodiversity: Encouraging natural ecosystems and diverse plantings creates resilience against pests and diseases, reducing the need for synthetic inputs.
Regenerative farming not only produces food but also enhances ecosystems, sequesters carbon in the soil, and boosts long-term land productivity. It is increasingly seen as a solution to combat climate change while supporting sustainable food production.
By choosing us, you’re supporting local farmers, producers and a small, community-based business, helping build a more resilient local economy. This ensures that more money stays within the community, strengthening local food systems and fostering sustainable growth.
